By using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.
1. What this website does
This website provides information about home services and lets you request work. When you submit a request, we match it to one contractor who covers your area and the type of work you described, and we provide your contact details and job description to that contractor so they can contact you directly. We are a matching service. Understand three things clearly: — We do not perform the work. The contractor does. Any agreement to perform work, and the work itself, is between you and the contractor alone. — Using this website is free for you and creates no obligation. You do not have to hire the contractor, and consenting to be contacted is not a condition of any purchase. — We are paid by contractors for the introductions we make. You never pay us anything.
2. Contractors are independent businesses
Contractors in our network are independent companies. They are not our employees, agents, partners, or representatives. We do not supervise, direct, or control their work, scheduling, pricing, or conduct. Contractors represent to us that they hold the licenses and insurance their jurisdiction requires for the work they perform. We rely on those representations and do not independently verify them. Before hiring any contractor, you should confirm their licensing and insurance yourself — your state or local licensing authority can tell you what applies to your project. We make no promise, warranty, or guarantee about any contractor's work, qualifications, licensing, insurance, pricing, availability, or conduct, or about the outcome of any project.
3. Your submission
When you submit a request, you agree that: — the information you provide is accurate, and the phone number and email address are yours; — you are at least 18 years old; — you are submitting a genuine request about property you own or are authorized to arrange work for; — we may provide your information to one matched contractor as described in our Privacy Policy, and that contractor may contact you as described in the consent statement shown at the form. Do not submit requests on behalf of other people without their permission, and do not submit false, automated, or duplicate requests. We use technical measures to detect and block such submissions. If no contractor in our network covers your area and service, your request will not be routed to anyone. We do not sell unmatched requests to third parties.
4. Content on this website
The articles, cost figures, and other information on this website are provided for general information. Cost figures are estimates and starting points, not quotes — your contractor prices the actual job, and your actual cost may differ. Statements about laws, licensing requirements, and government programs are summaries current as of the date noted, may have changed, and are not legal advice. Verify anything you intend to rely on with the relevant authority. All content on this website — text, design, graphics, and code — belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not scrape, republish, or use it to build a competing service.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use this website to: — submit false, misleading, automated, or bulk requests; — interfere with the website's operation or attempt to access systems or data not intended for you; — harvest information about other users or contractors; — violate any law. We may block access to the website at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms.
6. Disclaimers
THE WEBSITE AND THE MATCHING SERVICE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WITHOUT LIMITING THE ABOVE, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY CONTRACTOR WILL CONTACT YOU, BE AVAILABLE, PROVIDE A QUOTE, PERFORM WORK, OR PERFORM IT WELL; THAT THE WEBSITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE; OR THAT ANY INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE IS COMPLETE OR CURRENT.
7. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DISPUTE, CLAIM, LOSS, INJURY, OR DAMAGE ARISING FROM WORK PERFORMED OR NOT PERFORMED BY ANY CONTRACTOR, FROM YOUR DEALINGS WITH ANY CONTRACTOR, OR FROM ANY CONTRACTOR'S ACTS OR OMISSIONS. YOUR REMEDY FOR ANY SUCH MATTER IS AGAINST THE CONTRACTOR. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THIS WEBSITE OR THE MATCHING SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100). SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN THOSE STATES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW PERMITS.
8. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the website, or false information you submit.
9. Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of this website will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hamilton County, Ohio, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section limits any right you may have under the consumer-protection laws of your state that cannot be waived by agreement.
10. General
If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the consent statement shown at the form, are the entire agreement between you and us about your use of this website. We may update these Terms; the version posted on this page applies, and material changes will be posted before they take effect.
